Maries Bed and Breakfast is located in the old market town of Bishops Stortford, just 5 minutes from Stansted Airport. Easily found via the M11, M25, A10 and A120 we are very accessible with excellent travel routes in the immediate area, providing an ideal stop over for drivers and flyers.

We are a friendly family run establishment that operates a non smoking bed and breakfast, you will be staying in a well maintained and comfortable self contained annex which can be set-up for you as a single, double, twin or family room with a self service continental breakfast included.

There are lots of amenities accessible within the immediate area  these include:-

The Wagon and Horses public house is less than 5 minutes walk and serves food.

Less than 2 minutes walk away is a parade of shops which include a chemist, newsagents, grocers, fish and chip shop, chinese takeaway and bakers.

• 15 minute walk into town which has shops, restaurants, swimming pool, bowling alley, cinema etc.

• We are about 1 mile from Junction 8 of the M11 and Stansted Airport is about 4 miles.

• Main line station at Bishop's Stortford is about 10 minutes walk away where you can get a travel card to London which will cover the underground and buses in the capital.  This is a 35 minute journey.

• Or you may wish to visit Cambridge, which is 20 minutes in the opposite direction to London by train where all the universities and colleges are.

• Audley End mansion is about 12 miles away and can be reached by train or bus it is another English heritage owned property and makes a lovely day out.

• Hatfield Forest, which is owned by the National Trust, is only 3 miles away.

• Duxford war museum is one of the best museums of its kind, full of nearly every plane you can think of and hangers full of memorabilia, they hold some of the best air shows during the summer.  Duxford can be reached by train, bus or private car about 20 minutes on the M11.
